The Summer Hikaru Died

Our protagonist, Yoshiki, had a best friend named Hikaru who disappeared at a mysterious mountain in their town. 'Hikaru' comes back one day, unscathed, and Yoshiki realizes that his friend is actually not his friend. TLDR His friend was replaced by a body snatcher.

The body snatcher, however, seems to develop feelings for Yoshiki and wants to stay by his side, even though he knows he can never replace the original Hikaru.

I'm gonna be very for real with you guys, I started reading this a while back when I first heard about it, then forgot to check up on it every month. So I speed read it about a week ago.

I really like the storytelling so far. I don't read much manga, so I wouldn't know all the ups and downs of beautiful storytelling, but I'll say I like how the story creates intrigue with 'Hikaru' and his origins.

As the story continues, you realize that this "Great Lord Brain Snatcher" that has take Hikaru's body is actually a prominent figure with the elders of the village, as they all seem to feel his prescense in the mountain.
